Project

The Bradford VCS Personalisation Project ran from May 2010 to March 2011. Its overall aim was to help the third sector to understand the opportunities that exist to deliver services to people with Individual Budgets as part of the Personalisation agenda in Adult Social Care.

The project was delivered by Social Business Brokers CIC, on behalf of Bradford MDC, with funding from the Working Neighbourhoods Fund.

The main areas of work were:

Introduction to Personalisation we provided events and information sharing to help people who were new to Personalisation to understand what it was about.

Working Groups we held working groups based around specific opportunities, Personal Assistants, Support Planning & Brokerage, Social Enterprise Skills and setting up Paid for Services.

Creative Support Planning we ran workshops exploring how a more creative approach to support planning could help people to access services which better meet their needs.

Financial good practice we ran two sessions in association with WYCAS on financial issues for organisations related to developing services for people with Individual Budgets.

Social impact reporting – we ran a workshop to demystify social impact reporting and to look at do-able ways to record and report on the good that your organisation does.
